This course offers the contents and tools required in order to
understand the complex reality of the Spanish gypsy community, using
their cultural and artistic expressions. The course will emphasize
those gypsy artistic events considered cultural patrimony, such as
flamenco music and literature―including oral tradition―that has been
absorbed by Spanish culture as a part of its own national culture.
